Benue State Police Command has arrested an officer of the law known as Sgt. James Aondona, for killing a truck driver in Kastina-Ala L.G.A of Benue State.
The sergeant shot the driver dead on Sunday, 27 June 2022, after he had refused to pay money demanded bhhe police officer at a roadblock along Katsina-Ala-Zaki-Biam road.

It was gathered that the trailer driver was stopped by the operatives who mounted a road block and was asked to pay the sum of N3000 but remited N1500 on the ground that he didn't have a full truck and can't pay more than that.
SP Catherine Anene, spokesman of the command confirmed the incident of Monday 27, said the culprit has been arrested.
